Chapter 279 [Gods and Titans!]
Chapter 279 [Gods and Titans!]
While the Fate Weavers were busy with their own battle, the four Higher Gods, including the All-Father, looked at other threats that arrived along with Laplace.
Three Titan Giants and an army of giants, slowly approaching towards the portal. Each of those giants were dozens of meters tall with many among them reaching the height of 50 and more.
"You should go help Luciana," Hecate suggested as he looked at the All Father, who was now with the three. Hecate seemed to have analyzed that Laplace was the biggest threat among the enemies here and the only one capable among the Gods was the All Father.
Even though a great asset, it would be a dozen times better for him to provide support against Laplace.
"It surely would work, but that was the reason why I called him. He is better suited for the fights that involve fate weavers," the All-Father spoke as he looked at his twin, the Heaven's Guardian, preparing some for attack as he concentrated on his weapon, a long sword.
"Doesn't seem really hopeful. Are you sure he can stand against him?" Helios asked bluntly, but the All-Father nodded as he added,
"His powers work differently from normal. And they are especially effective against the Fate Weavers."
The three Gods weren't really convinced but since it was the All-Father's words, they decided to follow through without asking anymore questions.
"All right. Whatever you say... then how shall we divide this?" Hecate asked as he looked at the two True giants, the Titans and their army slowly walking towards them.

One of them was the Earth Titan Giant, blessed with near infinite Mana of the land. He was a being that was mentioned in the legends of ragnarok, a being that was able to kill dozens of Gods until he was stopped by the Gods of Embers, an Ancient God that ruled over fire.
...
Then there were the citizens of the city. Half of them were running away, while the others prayed silently, hoping to survive this war somehow.
Some believed that the end was nigh upon them, but even still, they patiently waited for the outcome of the battle that had started.
And somehow the lone girl that was dancing to the music that spread across the city slowly became a center of collection for the people. All of them slowly gathered around her, got on their knees and began praying as they slowly released their own mana into the air, forwarding it to the lady, who was dancing without taking a single break.
It was a strange sight, or perhaps a strange thing to do... but somehow nobody felt like that. For it felt natural to circle around in the area near her, and then pray to their respective Gods for the survival of mankind.
...
And finally there were those who were observing the war carefully. Not making any moves as they hid in the shadows and analyzed the war in front of them.
A Hell's guardian that was observing a certain Heaven's guardian with a deep fury in her eyes. Though she didn't make any moves right now, as if waiting for the perfect opportunity to get her target. And for that she needed to be patient. As much patience as she could possibly muster...
Then there was the demon, the son of Laplace,. Happiness overtook him when he finally saw his father, but even then he didn't make any moves. For acting on his emotions right now would mean sacrificing everything he has built up until now. So he, along with his army of Dark Mages, lay there in wait, waiting for an opportunity to show their worth to the so-called Demon king.
And finally the Goddess of Balance, her eyes looked at the death threads, unable to see even a single hope of survival. Yet, she stood there with hope. A hope for a miracle... that can defy fate itself.
"Just where are you, Adam?" She mumbled, unable to trace the Fate Weaver in the battlefield in front of her.
